Yes, what a Happy Day!

Woo! Just got back from the service at St Luke’s on Easter Sunday!

The band performed the song ‘Happy Day’, and it went really well. Have to especially thank the singing team, you were great. Thanks also go to my Dad, who stepped in to help with singing, thanks Dad!! Also, Paul did an ace job with talking to the many people who turned up to join the church today.

For those who don’t know, TimandDave (plus the singing team) played the whole service at St Luke’s on Palm Sunday. It was a big experiment which went well, but there were a number of problems. For starters, the drums were apparently too loud. There were many explanations for this, but for Easter day we moved them, and that seemed to work. Secondly, the guitar was very quiet, so this Sunday we brought an amplifier into the building. All good learning for us.

My favourite parts of the services was the look of delight on people’s faces. I loved the grin that I saw whilst playing, made my day! Something else that was brilliant was our friend Andrew’s prayer for us. I quote:

Thank you for the music
The hymns we’re singing
Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing
Who can live without Jesus I ask in all honesty!

Well, as you can hopefully tell, we’ve had a small redesign. TimandDave.com is now a proper functioning website! It’s taken slightly longer than we hoped, but as a band we are very pleased with the outcome. There are some awesome photos, some cool effects, but I promise, there’s more to come!

As a band we’ve started to plan our debut album. There’s some great stuff coming out, but I believe that there’s better to come. It’s really fun, and we’re hoping to involve a number of people, so that could be you!

As for now, Tim is trying to buy a new amp, Mike is practising away – he’s gonna be 21 this week!, and I’m finishing off things in anticipation for my move to Swindon. It’s going to be an interesting year for TimandDave (oh yeah, name is changing too) but I believe that together it will be one of the best!

Going to a baptism later of  two of my friends. What better day to do it! Hope it all goes well for you Rebecca and Abby.

Remember, on the Easter Sunday, it’s not about chocolate, fun and all that – which is nice. It’s about Jesus Christ, and a God that loved the world so much that He sent his Son to die. Jesus says that he died for YOU, and I hope that makes you feel special.
